TPO stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin, it is a single-ply membrane manufactured from ethylene propylene rubber.
Have you ever seen a bright white roof? Then, you are already familiar with a TPO roofing system. It is one of the most popular when it comes to commercial businesses saving energy costs.
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) membrane is the largest segment in the commercial roofing industry. With enhanced long-term energy efficiency and strong heat-welded seams, TPO is a great choice for flat roofs while still being an affordable option.
NOTE: In 2021, we have seen an unprecedented labor shortage as a side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. The demand for materials has skyrocketed. As a result, materials prices may be higher (we have been getting a 5-7% almost monthly) than reported on this page and lead times may be longer than usual.
Mechanically Attached Systems require mechanical attachment of the insulation to the deck and mechanical attachment of the membrane within the seam area. Adjoining membrane sheets are overlapped and joined together by hot-air welding.
Fully Adhered Systems require mechanical or adhesive attachment of the insulation to the roof deck. The TPO membrane and substrate are then coated with boding adhesive and the membrane is rolled into place and seams are then hot-air welded.
